Kristoffer Zetterstrand

1973-Present

Maybe you never realized, dear viewer, that the Minecraft paintings were actual, physical paintings first. Well, they were painted by Kristoffer Zetterstrand! He originally became inspired to paint when he clipped through a wall while playing a video game. So, he started to paint in oil the screenshots he took of these instances of clipping. He has continued his work by painting combinations of classical and digital elements. He has a website where he goes into detail about his process and you can view more of his work!
