Forget about Tim Burton, this guy is the classic gothic kids book illustrator. With a textured, shapely art style, Edward Gorey is also just a cool guy. He loves cats, he was possibly asexual, and he sewed his own stuffed animals while sitting in front of a fire. He did a lot of illustrations for children's books, even writing and publishing his own! And do y'all remember Cats the Musical? Well, the original book that the musical was based on is illustrated by Gorey!
